The honest picture

You can't supervise what you don't understand.

Your kid is using AI for homework, for questions they'd never ask you, and probably for things you haven't thought about. Most parents find out by accident.

The advice out there fails in both directions — either "ban it" or "it's the future, relax". Neither helps you on a Tuesday night when the essay looks a bit too good.

This session hands you the actual mental model in ninety minutes: what the tools do, where they lie, what your kid is likely doing with them, and what a house rule looks like when it survives a real teenager.

What you'll walk out with

Ninety minutes. Four things you can use that night.

Run by operators who use these tools in real work every week — and who are parents themselves.

A straight answer on what AI actually is

Sixty seconds of plain English that explains every strange thing you've watched it do — including why it invents facts with total confidence.

What your kid is probably already doing

The honest picture of how teenagers actually use these tools — homework, social life, and the AI companions nobody warned you about.

House rules that survive contact

Five rules that work in a real family, plus the conversation openers that get an honest answer instead of a shrug.

How to spot it — and when to worry

What AI-written homework looks like, how to check it without an interrogation, and the red flags that are genuinely worth acting on.

Inside the session

Ninety minutes, run like a briefing — not a lecture.

Live online, camera optional. You can ask questions the whole way through, and the last twenty minutes are yours entirely. Everything is demonstrated on screen with the real tools — including watching one confidently make something up.

The session, minute by minute

Runs fortnightly on Thursdays at 7:00pm AWST. Next sessions: 10 September, 24 September, 8 October, 22 October.

Who's in the room with them

Run by operators who use this daily — and who are parents too.

Every facilitator works with AI in real businesses, classrooms, or studios every week. They know what's actually true on a Monday — not what was true in a guide written 18 months ago. The same bench runs the parent webinar and the teen sessions.

The teaching team

A bench of working AI operators & educators.

Our facilitators come from product, design, education, and creative work — every one of them is using AI in their actual job, every week. We deliberately don't run sessions off a single instructor; teenagers learn faster when they hear how three different professionals approach the same problem.

What teenagers respond to: adults who actually use the tools, don't talk down, and treat them like junior collaborators. That's the room we run, every session.

Every facilitator WWCC cleared · insured · child-safe policy in place
Straight answers

What other parents actually ask.

Do I need to be technical?

Not at all. If you can use email and a browser, you're the target audience. We explain everything from zero, and there's nothing to install.

What if I can't make the night?

Take the next one — it runs fortnightly, so there's another Thursday two weeks later. Pick your date on the registration form, or switch any time up to 48 hours before.

My kid is 8. My kid is 17. Still relevant?

Yes to both. The tools and the thinking are the same; we flag what changes by age. The hands-on teen sessions are for 12+, but the parent session works whatever age your kids are.

Is this a sales pitch for something else?

It's a real 90-minute session and we'd rather you judge it on that. We do run in-person sessions for teens and we'll mention them once, near the end. No countdown timers, no hard close.

Should my teenager watch too?

This one is for you — some of it is frank about what teenagers get up to. If you want them in a room with the tools, that's the teen session below.

Will you tell me to ban it?

No. Bans don't work and we won't pretend otherwise. You'll leave with a supervised-use approach that's realistic in a house with wifi and a teenager.

What does $39 + GST cover?

The live 90-minute session with open Q&A, the Parent's AI Cheat Sheet, and a printable house-rules template to keep.

After the webinar · for your teen

Then put them in the room where they build something.

The webinar gets you up to speed. This is the hands-on version for them — one focused two-hour session, in person, where they go from using AI to actually building with it. Ages 12+, no experience needed.

Two hours, one sitting

No six-week commitment, no weekly logistics. One focused session at Panorama in Leederville — they arrive curious and leave with something working.

They build a real thing

A small game, a study tool, a creative piece — their choice. It runs, it's theirs, and they can show it to you on the drive home.

Supervised, properly

WWCC-cleared facilitators, prompts reviewed live, small groups, private working space. The same safety standard we take into schools.

Or we bring it to their school

The identical session runs in-school for a whole cohort. Tell us your school and we'll approach them — or send them the schools page yourself.
